R.I.P. Sally Menke

While directors seems to get most the credit one can't ever appreciate enough the work of a great editor, and Sally Menke was without question a great editor. As you all know I'm a giant Quentin Tarantino fan and Sally to spite having worked on other films with such folks as Oliver Stone, was known as "QT's editor", having worked on most of his films including but not limited to Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bill films. While directors are known for having great vision, it takes a fine craftsman to mold and shape that vision, adding sizzle to the steak and that's what Sally did, and she was great at it. Sally Menke was found dead today after walking her dog, a death caused by the heat many assume. I'm sure I can speak for many when I say she will be missed in the movie world and in general.
